THE Philippine Army produced a new batch of arnis experts as members of the Army Arnis Trainer’s Training Class 03-2024 capped off their two-month training in a closing ceremony graced by Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group (HHSG) Commander Brig. Gen. Emilio R. Pajarillo Jr. at the Headquarters Philippine Army Grandstand, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on April 6, 2024.

Members of the class were part of the Philippine Army Arnis exhibition group that showcased its collective skill, discipline and strength in a performance during the 127th Philippine Army Foundation Day which also coincided with the culmination of Exercise Katihan at the Makabulos Grandstand, Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac on March 22, 2024.

It can be noted that Arnis became the Philippine national martial art and sport in 2009 through Republic Act 9850 with the Armed Forces of the Philippines serving as one of the government entities overseeing its implementation.
