UK, Ukraine sign security agreement in Kyiv

BRITISH Prime Minister Rishi Sunak vowed that Ukraine will never be alone, and announced that his country will provide 2.5 billion pounds, or over $3-B of military aid to Ukraine over the coming year.

Sunak made the announcement as he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and signed the new agreement.

The two leaders signed a security accord between their two countries, with Zelenskyy saying that the agreement would remain in effect until Ukraine joined North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Meanwhile, United Kingdom new military package will be sent for the next financial year starting in April.

The military package includes long-range missiles, air defense and artillery shells, and drones.

It will also include humanitarian aid, help Ukraine fortify its energy infrastructure, and fund for online English language training.

Sunak last visited Ukraine in November 2022.

Zelenskyy hailed Sunak and his personal leadership and said that the agreement between the UK and Ukraine would lay the groundwork for further worth with their other partners.
