JUST recently, UniPhil sponsored a 2-week IP Youth Tour with the theme, “Empowering the Youth as Protectors and Promoters of our Rights, Culture, and Heritage”.
160 IP Youth and IP Elders and Leaders from Ata Manobo, Tigwahanon, and Matigsalog Tribes from Talaingod, Davao del Norte and San Fernando, Bukidnon participated in various events and activities from March 1-18, 2024.
An educational tour was conducted where the participants visited selected national and historical landmarks such as the Mayon Volcano in Albay, Luneta Park, and Dolomite Beach in Manila Bay.
The tour aimed to educate and deepen the participants’ knowledge about these national landmarks and the valuable stories behind the historical sites, awakening a sense of patriotism and love of country within them.
