ASEAN-Japan Solidarity for Gender Equality in Sports highlighted at workshop

THE Philippine Sports Commission hosted the ASEAN-Japan Action in Sports: Gender Equality Workshop, where member-states of ASEAN and Japan united in their commitment to promoting gender equality in sports.

Member-states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and Japan registered their solidarity for gender equality within the sporting field as the Philippine Sports Commission hosted the ASEAN-Japan Action in Sports: Gender Equality Workshop.

The two-day session will determine the situation of the regional sports, outlining a strategic planning and evaluation that will possibly be utilized for making policies that will further promote equal playing field for all.

This initiative is spearheaded by the International Research on Sports and Gender Equality of Japan’s Seijo University.

Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Richard Bachmann, Comm. Walter Torres, and Comm. Olivia “Bong” Coo expressed their commitment of being at the forefront of this advocacy.
