FORMER members of the Uniteam from the 2022 elections commented on Liza Marcos’ statement in an interview that VP Sara Duterte was a “bad shot” to her.
“Ma’am, you don’t need to admit that VP Sara is a bad shot for you. Because the two times you snubbed her— as if she’s just a passing soul that you didn’t notice, the public already knows you don’t like VP Sara,” said Atty. Harry Roque – Former Presidential Spokesperson.
This was the comment of Former Presidential Spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque regarding First Lady Liza Marcos’ statement against Vice President Sara Duterte in an interview with Anthony Taberna, also known as Ka Tunying.
In the teaser of Ka Tunying’s interview with the First Lady, she said that VP Sara was a bad shot to her.
Roque also emphasized that it was already evident that the vice president was not welcomed – even before the Maisug Rally happened.
“Let’s not beat around the bush anymore— before the Maisug Rally, VP Sara was already a bad shot for you, isn’t it true that even during the elections—and when it ended, you seemed to be happy, you drank, you sent a text of a video of VP Sara singing, what did you say in that text? You see what you’re doing. But what you didn’t know is that you sent the text to VP Sara. That’s why since then, VP Sara distanced herself because she knew there was already a hindrance to unity,” Roque added.
“The Vice President doesn’t have an obligation to kowtow to you; You have an obligation to respect the Vice President because the people have given her a significant mandate,” he added.
In the end, Roque said that he couldn’t understand why Liza Marcos had strong feelings against VP Sara, considering she is a significant factor that contributed to Bongbong Marcos becoming the president of the country.
