THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Regional Office III, in collaboration with the Provincial Health Office of Pampanga, conducted a two-day flu vaccination program for its staff from January 20 to 21, 2025, to prioritize their health during flu season.
In a statement, DPWH Region III Director Roseller Tolentino highlighted the initiative as part of the department’s commitment to safeguarding its workforce, emphasizing the crucial role employees play in the successful delivery of infrastructure programs.
“By ensuring the health of our personnel, we are better equipped to serve the public and carry out our projects effectively,”Tolentino said.
Human Resource and Administrative Division (HRAD) Chief Atty. Aikko Kris Mallari-Argel reported that 313 employees received their flu vaccines, and expressed gratitude to OIC-Provincial Health Officer Dr. Dax Tidula and Nurse III Kamille Paule-Manlutac for their support in organizing the event.
Additionally, 93 immediate family members of the employees were vaccinated, extending health benefits to their households and contributing to community well-being.
This flu vaccination drive is part of DPWH Region III’s broader efforts to maintain a healthy workforce, ensuring personnel are fit to contribute to ongoing and future infrastructure projects in the region.
