HIS Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, vice president, deputy prime minister, and minister of the presidential court, held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the sidelines of the Arab League Summit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Zelenskyy briefed Sheikh Mansour on the latest developments in Ukraine.
The Emirati minister conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Ukrainian leader.
Zelenskyy reciprocated the UAE leader’s warm greetings and highlighted the UAE’s unwavering support for peace, stability, and dialogue as essential elements for achieving a sustainable political solution.
The UAE has sent $100 million in humanitarian relief sent to the Ukrainian civilians affected by the crisis.
Zelenskyy made a surprise appearance during the Arab League summit in Jeddah on Friday and stole all the attention of Syrian President Bashar Al Assad who just returned to the group and attended the summit for the first time in 12 years.
Zelenskyy called on the Arab League to help protect its people and the Ukrainian Muslim community amid its ongoing war with Russia.
