KUWAIT ranked 20th worldwide out of 197 countries, and 4th in the Gulf in the index of the strongest passports for investment opportunities and ease of doing business in 2023.
The report was published by Global Citizen, a foreign and immigrant investment consulting company.
UAE topped the rankings in the Gulf and was ranked sixth place worldwide, followed by Qatar in seventh place, and Saudi Arabia in tenth place globally.
Meanwhile, Chad was at the bottom of the list at 197th place.
The countries were assessed based on three basic aspects which include markets and innovation, gross national income per capita, and personal taxes.
Kuwait is known for its large oil reserves that fuel the state’s economic security and also owns the oldest and one of the largest sovereign funds in the world.
