PINANGUNAHAN ni PNP chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. ang 6 member delegation ng Pilipinas sa 90th General Assembly ng International Criminal Police Organization (ICPO-INTERPOL) sa India.
Ayon kay PNP Public Information Office chief Police Colonel Red Maranan, pormal na binuksan kahapon ni Indian Prime Minister Nwarendra Modi ang general assembly na dinaluhan ng senior law enforcement officials mula sa 160 INTERPOL-member countries.
Kasama ni Azurin sa India sina Undersecretary Alfred Corpus, Executive Director ng Philippine Center on Transnational Crime (PCTC); Third Secretary at Vice Consul Mark Articulo ng Philippine Embassy sa India; Police Major General Benjamin Acorda, PNP Director for Intelligence; Police Major General Eliseo Cruz, PNP Director for Investigation and Detective Management (DIDM); at Police Brigadier General Bernard Banac, Acting Director for Plans.
Kabilang sa tatalakayin sa general assembly ang financial crime, anti-corruption, cybercrime, crimes against children, at DNA database ng missing persons, INTERPOL Global Crime Trends Report, at Executive Committee Elections.
Habang ipi-presenta ng Pilipinas ang kampanya ng PNP sa ilegal drugs, cybercrime, intellectual property rights (IPR) violations, transnational crime, at Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC).
Nakatakdang magtapos ang general assembly ng INTERPOL bukas, Oktubre 20.
