PHILIPPINE Army ensures readiness of Agila Division’s Forward Treatment Unit (FTU) operations.

The PA Technical Inspection Committee conducted an evaluation of the Forward Treatment Unit (FTU) deployed at the 10th Infantry “Agila” Division (10ID) at Sgt. Demerin Grandstand, Camp General Manuel Yan Sr., Barangay Tuburan, Mawab, Davao De Oro on May 28, 2024.

The FTU is a significant advancement in providing battlefield medical support for Army operating troops. This cutting-edge unit offers immediate, life-saving medical assistance to soldiers in combat situations, improving their chances of survival and recovery. The FTU also features an upgraded Frame-Type Tent constructed with well-insulated and waterproof canvas material, enhanced ventilation, and a truck-mounted forward treatment unit (FTU) that enables Army medical personnel to conduct field surgeries.

The Army leadership ensured the sustained enhancement of the FTU’s capability to deliver critical care for wounded personnel with the end view of bolstering the operational efficiency and morale of operating troops.
