Qatari billionaire to make second bid for man UTD after positive talks

A Qatari Sheikh hoping to buy one of the most prestigious football clubs in the world will make a second bid after hours of positive talks with representatives in England.

Qatari billionaire Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani is expected to make a second offer to buy Manchester United after receiving overwhelming support from fans and spending hours of positive talks with club officials in Old Trafford.

Sheikh Jassim -who is chairman of one of the biggest banks in Qatar and the son of the country’s former prime minister – announced for the first time last month of his interest to buy Machester United, one of the best and oldest football clubs in the world.

A high-level team of executives from Qatar met with the current owners of the football club on Wednesday to have a better understanding before they make another offer.

Al-Thani was not present himself for the talks in England which reportedly lasted for about 10 hours and were described as very positive.

The meeting was held at Old Trafford, a football stadium located in Greater Manchester, England, and home of Manchester United.

According to reports, the Qatari billionaire is considered the favorite to buy the football club over his rival bidder Jim Ratcliffe.

Ratcliffe, a British billionaire and businessman visited Manchester United a day after the Qatari executives met with club officials.

The Qatari billionaire has about 10 days to make a second offer if he is serious about taking over the football club.
