Trump’s Georgia scowling mug shot helps raise $7.1 million

FORMER US President Donald Trump’s arrest and mug shot on Thursday last week appears to have helped raise $7.1 million for his campaign.

Trump’s campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung said the campaign raised $4.18 million on Friday alone, adding that it was their highest-grossing day of the entire campaign.

After he was taken into custody, the former president appears to have exploited his scowling mug shot with the launch of ‘never surrender’ merchandise bore on various items such as shirts, posters, bumper stickers, and beverage coolers which range in price from $12 to $34.

It can be noted that in the last 3 weeks, Trump’s campaign says it has raised nearly $20 million.

This is more than half of what Trump raised during his first 7 months in the upcoming 2024 U.S. Presidential elections.

Meanwhile, according to the average of polls, Trump is still in the lead of his contenders.
