THE largest and modern vessel of the Philippine Coast Guard, BRP Teresa Magbanua (MRRV 9701) held its historical Turn-over Ceremony within the waters of Sabina Shoal, West Philippine Sea, Palawan, yesterday, 04 June 2024.
Outgoing Commanding Officer, CG Commander Vladimer Gaspar, having served as Commanding Officer of BRP Teresa Magbanua (MRRV 9701) for eight months.
CG Commander Gaspar turned over his duties and responsibilities to CG Lieutenant Efren Duran.
CG Lieutenant Duran has served as the Alternate Commanding Officer of BRP Teresa Magbanua (MRRV 9701) for four months.
Both officers graduated from the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy – PMMA Official (PMMA).
CG Commander Gaspar has managed to uplift the morale and welfare of the crew despite the pressing situation in Sabina Shoal for three months.
