AFP Visayas Command (VisCom) Chief Lt. Gen. Benedict M. Arevalo rendered an exit call on the Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on March 14, 2024.
Lt. Gen. Arevalo is set to hang his uniform on March 21, 2024. It can be recalled that he took helm of AFP VisCom in an acting capacity on November 2022 until his official designation on January 2023.
Lt. Gen. Arevalo also led the 3rd Infantry Division from September 2021 to November 2022. He likewise served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, J7, AFP in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City; and commander of the 303rd Infantry “Brown Eagle” Brigade (Inf Bde) in Murcia, Negros Occidental as well as of the 301st Inf Bde. He is a member of PMA “Bigkis Lahi” Class of 1990.
