Flag Officer in Command, Philippine Navy visits Marines in the North

FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City- The Commandant, Philippine Marine Corps together with the Flag Officer in Command, Philippine Navy (FOIC, PN), the Commander, Northern Luzon Command (COMNOLCOM), the Commanding General of the Philippine Army (CG, PA), visited strategic naval operating bases and detachments in Basco, Batanes, ND Mavulis, and FOB Mahatao on January 11, 2025.

The visit emphasizes the commitment of Philippine Marines to secure and defend the northernmost territories of the country and serve as a formidable first line of defense at all times. This initiative aims to provide firsthand assessment of operational capabilities, infrastructures on site, and the Marine forces that are stationed in the strategic location of Batanes.

More significantly, this demonstrates the Marines’ commitment to defending Philippine sovereignty, enhancing the safety of local communities, and fortifying the defense network in Northern Luzon.
