SINISIKAP na ngayon ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) na maging fully digitalize na ang lahat ng transaksiyon at serbisyo sa ahensiya.
Ayon kay LTO chief, Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II, ito ang isa sa kaniyang prayoridad mula nang maupo siya noong huling bahagi ng Hulyo 2023.
Punto ni Mendoza, isa ito sa mabisang paraan upang matuldukan ang katiwalian sa lahat ng transaksiyon sa ahensiya.
‘‘The thrust I am putting in the government is to digitize most of our services to avoid face-to-face meetings and hopefully, through that, we can eradicate all the possibilities of corruption,’’ ayon kay Asec. Vigor Mendoza II Chief, LTO.
Ilan na rin sa mga serbisyo ng LTO na digitalized ay ang transaksiyon para sa registration at renewal ng motor vehicle.
Bukod dito, sinabi ni Mendoza na ginagawa na rin nila ang full digital mode sa aplikasyon para sa student permit at driver’s license, gayundin ang renewal ng driver’s license.
Ani Mendoza, ang full digitalization sa ahensiya ay alinsunod na rin sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. at Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista.
“Our aggressive efforts are in line with the instruction of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr., to our Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista to find ways to implement 100% digitalization for effective and efficient government service,’’ saad pa ni Asec. Mendoza.
Ipinag-utos din ng LTO Chief sa mga regional offices na paigtingin ang pagsasagawa ng information drive kaugnay ng online car transaction ng motor vehicles.
Batay sa kanilang data monitoring, nasa isang porsiyento lamang ng mga behikulo sa Pilipinas ang gumagamit ng digital transaction para sa registration at renewal ng registration ng motor vehicles.
“We are putting everything together or trying to put connectivity in place to make it seamless. This is already being done for motor vehicle registration and hopefully, we can do that on driver’s license in the soonest possible time,’’ dagdag pa ni Mendoza.
Tinatarget ng LTO na baguhin ang kasalukuyang data na dapat mas maraming bilang ng car at motorcycle owners na gumagamit ng online platform sa kanilang transaksiyon sa LTO.
Sinusolusyunan na rin aniya ng ahensiya na mailipat sa bagong IT system ang lahat ng datos upang maiwasan ang aberya sa mga transaksiyon.
Sa bahagi ng LTO Central Office, makikipagpulong si Mendoza sa car at motorcycle dealers para ipagbigay-alam ang kapasidad na i-handle ang online transactions para sa registration ng bagong motor vehicles.
“As far as the LTO is concerned, we look to technology as a solution in order to address fixers. Ito ang isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit agresibo ang pagsusulong ko nito and with the help of our stakeholders and end-users, I am optimistic that we can do it in the soonest possible time,’’ ayon pa kay Mendoza.
