Northbound, southbound portions of EDSA to be closed for dynamic cone penetration test

STARTING January 14, 2025, to April 4, 2025, the Department of Public Works and Highways—National Capital Region will conduct Dynamic Cone Penetration Test activities along the entire stretch of EDSA, both northbound and southbound, with an interval of 500 meters for each borehole.

The scope of this activity will cover 32.00 linear meters in length and 3.50 meters in width, requiring partial road closure of identified portions of EDSA as shown in the graphics below. Motorists are advised to anticipate potential traffic delays in the affected areas and are encouraged to take alternate routes. This activity is scheduled to take place between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM. Rest assured that the lanes will be opened immediately after the test activities.

This project is part of the DPWH-NCR’s commitment to maintaining high-volume thoroughfares across Metro Manila and improving road safety and efficiency in the National Capital Region.
