THE Bureau of Meteorology forecasted a three-day heat wave for parts of Australia, with several states experiencing severe heat wave conditions and high temperatures until weekend.
From Wednesday to Friday, a low-intensity heat wave will make its way to Western Australia, parts of the Northern Territory, South Australia, Queensland, Canberra, and Sydney.
These states will experience severe heat wave conditions but New South Wales, South Australia, and Southern Queensland will be affected the most.
The heat wave conditions will be followed by a cool change and rainfall by the weekend but high temperatures will continue for much of inland New South Wales.
Australia has tackled dozens of bushfires this year as severe heat waves gripped the country after two years of rains and floods.
Major heat waves are Australia’s deadliest natural hazards and cause more deaths than any other natural disaster, including bushfires, cyclones, and floods.
