Over 17,300 killed on both sides amid ongoing Hamas and Israeli conflict

THE Palestinian death toll has risen to 15,899 due to Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, according to recent data from the Hamas-run Health Ministry.

Ashraf Al-Qedra, Spokesman of the Ministry, said at a press conference in Khan Yunis, South of the Gaza Strip, that the number of injured people rose to more than 42,000, while 70% of the victims were children and women.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, 242 people had been killed in the West Bank as of November 29.

Meanwhile, the Israeli side said that the death toll is about 1,200.

Al-Qedra accused Israel of escalating its targeting of hospitals and health facilities, noting that it destroyed 56 health institutions, arrested 35 medical personnel, and rendered the health system in the Gaza Strip completely incapacitated.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), on the other hand, claimed that Hamas has been using Gaza’s hospitals for military operations.

And the Shifa Hospital is believed to be one of the main centers of the underground tunnel infrastructure of Hamas.
