Russian deployment of nukes in Belarus

THE President of Belarus revealed that it was he who made the request to his Russian counterpart to deploy tactical nuclear weapons as a deterrent, meanwhile, he also revealed that Russia offered to lease Crimea from Ukraine which Kyiv rejected.

Belarus was the one to ask Russia to share its nuclear arsenal and will agree to use it if attacked.

This is what Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko Revealed as Russia prepared to deploy tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus.

It can be remembered that Russia announced its decision to place nukes in Belarus in March, arguing that it’s not different from what the U.S. has been doing for decades by keeping parts of its nuclear arsenal in non-nuclear countries like Belgium, Italy, and Turkiye.

The U.S. and its allies disputed such a position, accusing Russia of recklessness.

Meanwhile, last week, Putin told Lukashenko that the preparation will be completed around July 7-8, and will immediately start the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus.

And on Tuesday, Lukashenko said that the deployment was a friendly request he sent to Russia as a deterrent and that he would not hesitate to use them if Belarus is attacked.

Lukashenko said,

“That was my request. Russia didn’t impose it on me. Nobody has ever gone to war with a nuclear state, and I don’t want anyone to go to war with us. Is there such a threat? Yes. I have to counter this threat.”

“Nobody has ever gone to war with a nuclear state, and I don’t want anyone to go to war with us. Is there such a threat? Yes. I have to counter this threat,” Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus said.

Meanwhile, Lukashenko told reporters that the only grounds for the nuclear weapons to be used would be an attack on Belarus, saying that,

“God forbid I will have to make a decision to use this kind of weapon in our time. But there will be no hesitation, if there is aggression against us,” Belarus

said.

Lukashenko has repeatedly accused NATO-member countries like Poland of keeping troops in certain positions that could indicate preparation for an attack against Belarus.

Lukashenko also accused Ukraine of staging provocations as both countries also share a borer.
