AS winter comes to an end and spring blooms in the United Kingdom, the Filipino community of Cordillerans-UK, in collaboration with Enchanting Events Limited, hosted a Spring Gala Ball at the National Royal Hotel London on Saturday, March 25, 2023, to raise funds for children in the Philippines.
The doors opened at 5 pm, and attendees had a meet and greet and picture opportunity; some even had to travel far to attend and support the event.
The evening began with opening remarks by Host Kim-Tastic, a singer and entertainer who kept the audience engaged as guests were offered a 3-course gourmet dining experience.
A Filipino cultural dance was performed – known as Gangsa dance – followed by the event’s main attraction which was the ethnic fashion show where Philippine designer gowns incorporated with ethnic Inabel fabrics by international fashion designer Jhay Layson were showcased.
Mrs. Rose Licyayo Hayes, the event organizer, expressed gratitude to everyone who attended and supported the event.
Other guests and sponsors also expressed their appreciation for having been invited to the momentous occasion.
The Freeway band provided live music while attendees danced the night away.
The evening concluded with a raffle draw and the presentation of prizes and plaques of appreciation to the event’s sponsors and supporters.
SMNI UK was also honored with a plaque of appreciation for being their media partner for the past year.
