IN a recent press conference, U.S. President Joe Biden shocked the public after claiming to have seen confirmed pictures of Hamas beheading children in Israel.
A White House spokesperson later told the Washington Post that U.S. officials were unaware of the said pictures that Biden claimed to have seen and that no independent confirmation reports that children were beheaded during a Hamas attack on Israel on Saturday.
Citing the White House, the Post reported that Biden based his comments about alleged atrocities on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s spokesman and Israeli media reports.
“The president based his comments about the alleged atrocities on the claims from [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu’s spokesman and media reports from Israel,” statement of the White House.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that Hamas beheaded soldiers and raped women during their attack on Israel during a televised address on Wednesday night.
“We saw boys and girls bound, who were shot in the head. Men and women burned alive. Young women who were raped and slaughtered. Soldiers who were beheaded,” according to Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel.
The prime minister did not, however, verify the claims regarding the beheadings but confirmed witnesses and rescue workers described horrific scenes.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Netanyahu said that babies and toddlers were found in Kfar Aza, a kibbutz in southern Israel, with their “heads decapitated” after Hamas’ attack over the weekend.
