PITA Limjaroenrat, leader and prime ministerial candidate of the Move Forward Party announced that his party is ready to unite the government once again.
This is what he announced at the party headquarters, saying he is ready to lead the country and calling on everyone to respect the results of the election.
More than 39 million people voted last Sunday to install 500 members of the House of Representatives.
According to the election commission of Thailand, voter turnout has reached over seventy-five percent, the highest in Thailand’s history.
According to the preliminary results, the Move Forward Party was in the lead with 151 seats, the second was the Pheu Thai Party which won 141 seats while the Bhumjaithai Party was in third place with 70 seats.
According to Pita, he is working with his allies Pheu Thai, Pracharat, Thai Sang Thai, and Seri Ruam Thai to form the next government.
If combined, these will create 308 government seats – enough to form a majority government in the 500-member House of Representatives.
