KINILALA sa naganap na Award for Promoting Philippines-China Relations (APPCU) ang ilang mga natatanging Pilipino na nagpatibay sa pagkakaibigan ng Pilipinas at China.
Ang event ay sa pakikipagtulungan sa Chinese Embassy sa bansa.
Hall of Famer ng APPCU ngayong taon si dating Pangulong Rodrigo R. Duterte para sa award-giving body, mabunga ang anim na taon ng Duterte administration dahil sa pagpapatibay nito sa Philippine-China relations.
Pati na ang naging ugnayan ng dalawang bansa sa trade, cultural, civic and activities, at humanitarian trade efforts.
Kasama rin sa Hall of Famer si former Special Envoy of the President to the People’s Republic of China Ambassador Carlos Chan.
Bukod sa Hall of Fame awardees, apat naman ang ‘Outstanding and Major Contribution awardees’.
Ito’y sina former Philippine Ambassador to Greece and Cyprus Bobi Tiglao na isa ring renowned journalist at columnist.
Dr. Jaime Cruz, na dating Special Envoy to the People’s Republic of China, Trade, and Investments.
Ms. Regina Rosa Tecson, director ng satellite Office of Vice President Sara Duterte at Davao City.
At si Jose Ong Tajan, former President ng APPCU Baguio at former chairman ng Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce sa Baguio City.
Para sa organizers ng event, magpapatuloy ang pag-promote ng awardees sa friendly relations ng China at Pilipinas.
“Well, as individuals in their own sphere of influence, they continue performing ‘yung kanilang ginagawang pagtulong sa magandang relasyon ng dalawang bansa. Pero on the side of APPCU, meron ‘ding tayong mga activities katulad ng APPCU Forum, meron din tayong Manila Forum, isang project natin with the Chinese Embassy at meron tayong mga exchanges visits papuntang China, ‘yung mga Chinese naman papuntang Pilipinas so sa ganitong mga activities, nako-continue nila ang kanilang ginagawa,” ayon kay Peter Tiu Laviña, Spokesperson, APPCU 2023.
Wala si FPRRD, si former Executive Secretary Bingbong Medialdea ang tumanggap ng kaniyang award.
Si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. ang Guest of Honor.
Nagpadala naman ng kaniyang pagbati si VP Sara Duterte.
Ito na ang ikatlong taon ng APPCU Awards.
“Congratulations to Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, 16th President of the Philippines, as 2023 Award for Promoting Philippines-China Understanding (APPCU) laureate under the Hall of Fame Category.”
