PNP commended Walther Buenavista of Shawarma Shack for his unwavering support

AS the Philippine National Police (PNP) celebrates its 28th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month this July with a theme, “Serbisyong Nagkakaisa para sa Ligtas at Maunlad na Pamayanan”, President and CEO of Shawarma Shack, Walther Buenavista was recognized for its valuable support and long-time partnership with PNP.

The award is was given by PNP Chief, PGen. Benjamin C. Acorda, Jr. with Sec. Benhur Abalos, Jr. of Department of Interior and Local Government. Senator Imee R. Marcos served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker of the said event.

As a support to the call of the President, His Excellency President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., towards national unity and good governance, and the call of the PNP to ensure the continuity of public rapport through continuous community engagement, the PNP launched the PNP Help and Food Bank. It’s a platform to extend humanitarian assistance to the communities affected by different crises.

The event was held at the PNP Transformation Oval, Camp BGen. Rafael T. Crame, Quezon City last July 22, 2023. Also part of the occasion, PNP conducted the Buhay Ingatan, Droga Ayawan (BIDA) Caravan, where the PNP frontline services, and other social services from other government agencies has been provided and was attended by some PNP accredited  and recognized non-government organizations (NGO’s), force multipliers, other organizations, various sectoral advocacy support groups, and stakeholders to support the government’s campaign against criminality, insurgency, terrorism illegal drugs, and corruption, as well as on disaster response.

Shawarma Shack has been a constant partner of PNP through its Corporate Social Responsibility program, “Shawarma Shack Cares”, in sending help to our fellow countrymen and has been recognized by the past PNP Chiefs. In a short interview with Walther Buenavista, he mentioned that he’s humbled with the recognition and he’ll continue what he has started in sending support and leading outreach programs to vulnerable areas. It is his way of giving back to the community the way the people supported the company when the company was just starting.
