Russian troops claim to destroy Western-supplied vehicles in Belgorod

IN the latest of the Belgorod Saga, Russian troops claimed to have destroyed Western armored vehicles used by Ukrainian militants.

The Russian Military released photos and videos in the aftermath of the battle showing multiple abandoned, destroyed, or damaged vehicles used by what they call Ukrainian militants that attacked the border region of Belgorod.

The Russian Defense Ministry said several American-made armored cars were among the vehicles that Moscow Forces destroyed on Monday, including M115-1A1 Humvee armored cars and M122 Maxxpro armored vehicles.

The mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicle is made by US-Company Navistar Defense.

Another AMZ DZIK-2 armored car of Polish manufacture was seen, while a Ukrainian-made Kraz Kobra vehicle had been destroyed completely.

U.S. officials, on the other hand, have denied that the equipment provided to Ukraine by Western allies was used by militants to attack Belgorod.

The Russian Defense Ministry blames Ukraine for the attack and said Kyiv has resorted to launching terrorist actions against civilian targets after it suffered defeat in Bakhmut.

It can be remembered Belgorod was attacked on Monday by what Russia calls a Ukrainian saboteur group, leaving at least one civilian killed and several others injured.

And on Tuesday, the Russian Military said the remaining units of the militants had been destroyed and forced back into Ukraine, and more than 70 of the saboteurs had been killed.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov earlier said that the perpetrators were Ukrainian militants, saying that there are a lot of ethnic Russians living in Ukraine.
