The Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao (CGDSEM) has assisted over 1,300 residents in Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, and Davao City amid flooding this week.
Through active collaboration with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC), coast guardians evacuated affected families to their designated centers for further assistance from local authorities.
As of press time, the PCG continues to monitor the status of rivers in Davao City, particular at SIR New Matina, where boat trips remain suspended for public safety.
Coast guardians also assist ongoing relief efforts in Caraga and Banay-Banay in Davao Oriental.
